Information about the workshops

Workshops are organised on-campus in Kumpula. Full instructions for participation will be sent by email closer the event.

The workshops are in Finnish. It will be very difficult to take part if the participant does not speak Finnish. If you have any questions about the workshops, we are happy to help over email at the address linkki-kerhot@cs.helsinki.fi.

About your data

The University of Helsinki Science Education collects personal details about the participants and their legal guardians (such as names, birthdates and contact details) in order to conduct the practical running of the activities, and to later market our activities to the participants and their legal guardians. Personal data will be stored also after the activity has finished. Only University of Helsinki staff will have access to the data, and it will always be handled confidentially.

We will conduct scientific studies in our activities in order to develop them. Participating in the studies is voluntary, and below we ask the participant's legal guardian's permission for participation. More information on our website (in Finnish).

You can separately give us permission below to use photos and/or videos we take, in which the attendant is recognisable, for communication and marketing purposes.

Cancelling the registration

Workshop registrations are always binding and cannot be cancelled.

In the case a workshop gets cancelled

In case we need to cancel a workshop, the participation fee will be fully refunded. The refunds will be processed by the end of the month the last registered workshop is scheduled.

Payment

Registration is always binding. Payment occurs immediately. By paying the fees you accept the terms and conditions of the cancellation policy. Fees are payable with a credit card, mobile payments (MobilePay, Siirto), or through an online bank transfer (Finnish banks). Payments are made through the Verifone Finland Oy, BlueCommerce website.
