Extension application fee: Faculty of Social Sciences

A fee of 50 euros will be charged for the processing of the extension application starting from January 1, 2025 (Government Decree 199/2024, Section 4). Before paying the extension application fee, please carefully read the instructions on applying for an extension in the Instructions for Students under the section "How to apply for an extension to study right".

First, try signing in to Sisu. Apply for an extension and pay the processing fee in Sisu when you have a valid study right and access to Sisu.

Only pay the extension application processing fee with this form if you cannot apply for an extension in Sisu. If you cannot apply for an extension and pay the processing fee in Sisu, apply for an extension using the faculty's electronic form and pay the processing fee with this form.

The fee will not be returned.

Study-related fees are based on the Universities Act (558/2009), the Government Decree on fees collected at universities (1082/2009) and its amendment (1436/2014).

Educational and training services fees are exempt from VAT (Value Added Tax Act 1501/1993, section 39).

As payments under public law, the collection of fees, including the associated interest and costs may be enforced without a separate judgement or decision (Act on the Enforcement of Taxes and Public Payments 706/2007).

The payment must be made immediately. Fees can be paid using a credit card, mobile payment (MobilePay, Siirto) or an online bank transfer (Finnish banks). The payments are made through the BlueCommerce website of Verifone Finland Oy.
